Feasting, sweating and working among game developers: InnoGames opens its own offices to subtenants once again

Canteen, event space and 24-hour gym included: Hamburg's largest game developer is once again renting out office space in its own headquarters in the Hammerbrook district of Hamburg. Thanks to terms starting from one month, affordable flat-rate rents, flexible options and optional full services, the aim is to attract young companies in particular who are not yet willing to take a major risk to an office community.

The concept may sound familiar to some: In December 2013, InnoGames GmbH announced as part of its move to new premises that it wanted to offer start-ups a home on over 1,000 square meters until the rapidly growing games company would need the surplus space itself. Under the name "InnoHub", a popular start-up center including an accompanying mentoring program was temporarily created. The aim now is to build on this success.

"We have fond memories of the first InnoHub and thought it was a shame when we had to close it because we needed the space - even though that was the plan from the start. But that was before the pandemic and before our hybrid working model. We are taking the changed situation as an opportunity to revive the idea - with certain changes. Friction is known to generate warmth and who knows what great encounters and projects will arise again from the physical proximity with our new subtenants. We are already excited!", explained Michael Zillmer, COO & co-founder of InnoGames

Alexander Eichhorn, Facility Manager, added: "We are now letting the entire 1st and 2nd floors with a total area of over 2,600 square metres. This time, the fit-out is of an even higher quality than before. In addition, we are offering more services in the space, such as furnishing. Thanks to a flexible model in which companies can secure fixed offices with or without furnishings for short terms at an all-inclusive rent, we consider our solution to be particularly interesting for start-ups and creative companies where financing is not yet fully secured. Another advantage is that these are so-called serviced offices. This means that the tenants do not have to spend any capacity on operating the office space. And yes, the co-use of our canteen, the so-called Town Hall (a combination of lounge, dining room and event space) and our gym, which is open around the clock every day, are also included in the offer."
