InnoGames appoints Studio Director Christian Reshöft to CPO
Former Studio Director Christian Reshöft joins InnoGames’ management team as new Chief Product Officer (CPO) effective immediately. In that role, Reshöft takes over the responsibility for all games in development (Production) and the portfolio of live games (Product Management) at Germany’s leading developer and publisher of mobile and online games.
“Christian contributed heavily to InnoGames’ sustainable growth in previous years and achieved many important milestones for our company. His profound knowledge in managing successful game products and in leading diverse teams proved to be the perfect fit for us. Promoting him is the next consequent and well-earned step and we are looking forward to releasing many more successful games in the future,” comments InnoGames’ Co-founder and CEO Hendrik Klindworth.
"In the last couple of months, we have already implemented many improvements in our approach to how we create new games at InnoGames. We challenged our existing processes and launched a new stage gate process to focus even more on player retention during the production phase. We do not want to reveal too much at this point, but we have made great progress, have been able to accelerate our production speed and the first early tests delivered outstanding results,” continues Klindworth.
“Overseeing and managing all of InnoGames’ titles is a great honor and task. With our iconic set of live games and an exciting pipeline of new titles, we are in a strong position and have even higher ambitions for the future. We are focusing on the creation of new titles while continuing to expand the long-term experience for our players in the existing portfolio. Forge of Empires has been growing for seven consecutive years, and we are looking forward to applying our Live Ops experience to our upcoming titles,” states InnoGames’ CPO Christian Reshöft.
Reshöft joined InnoGames as Head of Product Management in 2013 when the company’s global hit Forge of Empires was only available on browser. Together with his teams, he successfully launched the famous city builder’s mobile version which laid the foundation for the company’s transition to mobile. Due to his achievements in this role, he was promoted to the role of Studio Director in 2015. Other milestones in Reshöft’s career at InnoGames were the successful launch of InnoGames’ second flagship title, Elvenar, and the automated migration of Forge of Empires and Elvenar from Flash to HTML5. Prior to InnoGames, the 38-year-old held roles at Miniclip (where he managed 8 Ball Pool), Jagex and Blizzard. In total, Reshöft has more than 15 years of experience in leading roles in the gaming industry.
