InnoGames: In-game events herald the arrival of spring

It's that time of year when the ice melts and the days get longer. Everyone is looking forward to the start of spring. And InnoGames, Germany's leading developer and publisher of online and mobile games, is ushering it in with a series of in-game events across its portfolio.

In the strategy game hit Forge of Empires, the Cherry Blossom Festival is proclaimed. The patron Hanako welcomes all players with more than 40 immediate (so-called Rush Quests) and over 20 Daily Quests to earn Spring Lanterns. Beyond completing the quests, players will receive Spring Lanterns once per day for logging in or through the Cherry Trees that grow from time to time around their town.

Once they have earned enough Spring Lanterns, Origami Frog can be passed across the pond. Each leaf houses a different origami animal and a different reward. The possible prizes can be viewed in advance. In addition, each lilypad offers a chance to win a daily prize, which is replaced by a different one every 24 hours.

In addition, a progress bar shows which place players occupy in the league ranking. The higher the rank, the greater the chance of winning an additional special prize in this event. This year, the main prize awaiting players is the Suishun Mill.

The Cherry Blossom Festival in Forge of Empires is celebrated from March 25 to April 14.

In Elvenar this year, the phoenix-worshipping Cult of the White Flame and the nomads come together. Together they find the egg of an Ashen Phoenix that brings them wisdom. Players must now help raise the Ashen Phoenix into a large and powerful bird.

Chests can be opened with found Sky Essence. These contain not only a reward and a chance to win exclusive daily prizes, but also Phoenix Feathers that bring you closer to the next main prizes. Among these main prizes are some great rewards and Ashen Phoenix Artifacts. These can be used to evolve the special pet of this event, the Ashen Phoenix. The Rise of the Phoenix Cult in Elvenar runs from March 23 to April 14.

In Grepolis, a special guest visits the players' cities: the Mythical Hen from the underworld. She's demanding, hungry, and on top of that, she's also the pickiest chicken imaginable. By feeding her, rewards beckon for your own empire.

Fodder for the hen can be obtained through the daily business of ruling: Upgrade buildings, research and recruit new troops, attack enemies and cast spells. However, finding the right recipes for the hen becomes a challenge: over 120 recipes can be made from a total of eight ingredients to obtain valuable rewards. Recipes cannot be passed on in the process. All players get their own collection of unique combinations to feed the hen.

A ranking list shows how well you are doing compared to the community. The effort is worth it, because each daily winner receives a special reward. In addition, the top ten players receive a special honor at the end, and the overall winner receives a special title: Master Egg Collector. The Mythical Hen delights Grepolis between March 23 and April 12.

Spring is also coming to The West. Players can fight against the well-known gunslingers Big Fred, Van Cliff, Brinson and Westwood. All of them are back for another Easter Showdown. Four new sets are available as rewards. Three of them as prizes for winning duels and one for defeating the bandits a certain number of times without losing. At the end of the event, the player with the longest winning streak against the bandits will receive the special weapon set. The Showdown event in The West will take place from March 31 to April 23.

Forge of Empires, Elevenar, Grepolis, and The West are free to play. The West in browser on PC, Forge of Empires, Elevenar, Grepolis are additionally available mobile for iOS and Android.
