It's getting athletic: Forge of Empires is launching the Soccer Cup 2021

On the field, the players always pass the ball forward. In this way, they get closer to the opponent's goal. However, each pass consumes different amounts of stamina and holds a different selection of rewards. By clicking on the question mark above each player on the field, the reward for a pass is displayed. Stamina is replenished by energy drinks. Players obtain these by completing quests. They can also be found in events around their own city.

Player Cards either unlock a new player or strengthen an existing player. By clicking on the "Team" button, the collected players can be displayed. The reward that can be obtained for a pass on the player in question can also be viewed here. The higher the level of the player, the higher the chance of receiving double the reward.

This year, the mechanics for calculating ranking points in this year's Soccer Cup have been adjusted. The higher your team strength, the more ranking points you receive when you win tournament matches. In the tournament, the teams of other players can be challenged in order to climb up the global ranking list. There are three different difficulty levels to choose from: easy, medium or hard. The higher the level, the better the rewards.

The new main reward is the "Athlon Abbey", an imposing upgradeable building with ten upgrade levels. This building provides happiness, population and coins at the basic level. As it levels up, it provides defence boosts for the players' defending armies.

The Soccer Cup 2021 will be the first event to have its own space in the Event Hub pier. In addition, completing all the quests in the Soccer Cup event will give the city a huge boost of 150% of stock production for five days.
