Long Live the King! Forge of Empires Celebrates 5th Anniversary

Today, InnoGames celebrates the 5th anniversary of its successful strategy game Forge of Empires. Players can look forward to a special birthday quest line with unique prizes and giveaways on Facebook and Instagram.

In the brand-new birthday questline, Madame Fortuna, who made her first appearance during Forge of Empires’ 1st anniversary, returns. She'll take players on a short sentimental ride through the history of Forge of Empires. At the end of her questline, players will be rewarded with new, majestic versions of the Queen and the King buildings. Along with a third building that will be automatically placed in a player’s inventory, they make up a new set. The quest line ends on April 24.

Additionally, InnoGames hosts various giveaways on Facebook and Instagram. Attendees have the chance to win several iPads and Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 Tablets.

Armin Busen, CPO at InnoGames stated, “Forge of Empires is a true milestone in the history of InnoGames and still very important for us. I would like to thank the game team and the extremely loyal community for their tremendous support and feedback over the last 5 years. We will continue improving the game with new features and content and are looking forward to where the next five years will lead us.”

Since its release in 2012, Forge of Empires became one of the most successful strategy games in the world with several million active players in over 20 markets. Forge of Empires reached a lifetime revenue of more than EUR 100m with an initial low comparable cost of EUR 1m. Two years after the start of the browser version, InnoGames released dedicated mobile versions for iOS and Android devices. The game instantly became one of the top five new strategy titles for iOS in 2014 and won Google’s “Best of Games 2015”.
